Asphalt Paving Scheduled Along Dewes from Spruce to Lincoln

Work Completed Last Week:
·         Dewes Street between Spruce Street and Lincoln Street
o   Completed roadway excavation
o   Completed installation and grading of aggregate base course
o   Preparation for concrete curb & gutter, sidewalk, and driveway installation.
o   Pour concrete curb & gutter
o   Pour concrete sidewalks and driveways.
o   Asphalt driveway installation, first layer

    • Patching of settled trenches.
  • Elm Street between Dewes Street and Henley Street
    • Rough grading of landscape
    • Topsoil installation.
    • Asphalt driveway installation, final layer
  • Henley Street between Elm Street and Spruce Street
    • Rough grading of landscape

    • Remove existing driveways and sidewalks scheduled to be replace. Temporary access will be provided until concrete work begins.
    • Roadway reconstruction to begin first week of June
  • Elm Street between Dewes Street and Henley Street
    • Sod installation
  • Henley Street between Elm Street and Spruce Street
    • Sod installation
  • Landscaping
    • Grade and install topsoil & seed in grassed alley between Henley Street and Dewes Street west of Elm Street
    • Repair damaged sod throughout Phase I Improvements
Thank you to all those residents that have been without access to their driveways due to the concrete work along Dewes Street. Your patience and understanding has been greatly appreciated. Depending on weather conditions, the asphalt paving is scheduled for early next week. Once the asphalt pavement is completed, access to driveways will be restored. 

Next week the contractor will also perform some general work site clean-up in preparation for the Memorial Day Weekend.

Concrete Work on Dewes from Spruce to Lincoln Next Week

DiMeo Brothers will be starting the road reconstruction phase of the project on Monday May 12th, which includes curb and gutter installation, driveway apron repairs, and asphalt placement. Residents will be restricted from utilizing their driveways for approximately 10 days during this phase of construction. Please keep in mind that weather delays may extend the amount of time needed to complete this phase of the project.  Residents will be notified via letter if additional time is needed. We thank you for your patience and understanding during the construction process and potential weather delays.

Asphalt Paving on Henley and Elm. Road Excavation on Dewes

    • Made final connections between existing and new water main systems.
    • Completed storm sewer installation
  • Dewes Street between Spruce Street and Elm Street
    • Removed sidewalks and driveways in preparation for concrete
  • Elm Street between Dewes Street and Henley Street
    • Prepared for and poured concrete curb & gutter
    • Poured concrete sidewalks and driveways
    • Graded aggregate base materials in preparation for asphalt pavement

    • Prepared for and poured concrete curb & gutter

We anticipate concrete curb & gutter preparation and pouring will be performed along Dewes Street from Spruce Street to Lincoln Street the week of May 11th. During that time, residents will be restricted from utilizing their driveways for approximately 10 days. More information will be provided regarding exact dates and restrictions.
