Underground Utilities to Continue to Dewes Street and Henley Street

Work Completed Last Week:
·         Dewes Street between Washington Street and Harlem Avenue:
o   No work completed this week.
  • Dewes Street between Elm Street and Washington Street
    • Sanitary sewer improvements 100% complete
    • Began water main installation, may get completed by end of day on Friday.
  • Henley Street between Elm Street and Spruce Street
    • Storm sewer improvements 100% complete
    • Began installation of water services, may get completed by end of day on Friday.
  • Intersection of Spruce Street & Dewes Street
    • Completed installation of storm sewer not completed in Phase I
·         Phase I underground utility improvements 100% completed.

·         Phase II Sanitary Sewer Improvements 100% completed.

Work Anticipated Next Week:

·         Dewes Street between Washington Street and Harlem Avenue:
o   No work anticipated.
  • Dewes Street between Elm Street and Washington Street
    • Begin storm sewer installation
    • Perform required testing of new water main.
  • Henley Street between Elm Street and Spruce Street
    • Complete remaining water service installations
    • Make connections between existing water mains and new water mains.
A water main shut down is scheduled for Monday, April 13th for Dewes Street between Washington Street and Lincoln Street. Residents should have been notified of this shut-down on Friday. The shut-down is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM and last 2-4 hours.

Roadway reconstruction along Henley Street and Elm Street is anticipated to begin the week of April 20th. More information to follow.
